HES motors (Hyundai Electric Standard) are premium-efficiency, severe-duty motors designed for mid-range horsepower applications, typically up to 150 HP. They feature cast iron construction, are inverter-duty compatible, and are available in C-face, D-flange, and footless configurations.

HSDE motors (Hyundai Severe Duty Electric) are used in applications above 150 HP. They include PT100 RTDs for winding and bearing temperature monitoring, built-in heaters, and auxiliary terminal boxes. These motors are ideal when higher torque, greater thermal protection, and advanced monitoring for continuous heavy-duty cycles are needed.
